Scientists use electronic record keeping to more easily discover and analyze their experimental results. However, sub-optimal usability is a major barrier to achieving this goal. Life science R&D requires software that is both functional and user-friendly. Benchling is at the forefront of addressing these needs and creates software that is unified, modern, intuitive, and simple to use. Benchling is excited to announce a refresh of our search and filters capabilities.

What is changing?

1)Improved search allows you to search across the entire platform - projects, registry, workflows, and requests, and item types - entities, batches, storage, requests, workflows, entries, stage entries, and folders. This dramatically improves the breadth and depth of search results, surfacing the most relevant results quickly. Additionally, the search box is now available across all of the applications on the side panel or in the expanded view, which makes it easier to access the search functionality from any application.

2) A new user interface for filters allows you to more effortlessly add custom filters to sort through your samples and entries. This means you can view your data in aggregate and perform analysis or exports more easily. The filters are accessible across all of the applications on the side panel or expanded view.
