At Benchling, we invest in the personal and professional growth of each and every individual at the company. We view mentorship as an ongoing process to ensure that no one lacks guidance or the opportunity to grow. Mentors accelerate the professional growth of their mentee by guiding, inspiring, and empowering them to reach their full potential. And, in return, they receive the opportunity to participate in a rewarding and enriching experience that results in a higher level of engagement and commitment to their peers in the organization.
We partnered with local school organizations affiliated with NSBE, SHPE & AISES by donating $100 per student who completed our virtual onsite stage for our SWE New Grad role. We donated over $3,000+ across 15 different schools, but it doesn’t stop here: for this upcoming season (2021-2022) we’re continuing partnerships with student organizations by committing to supporting 1 organization per school campus as part of our recruiting strategy.
Passion for my work is crucial to me, so what initially interested me in Benchling is that it felt like the perfect marriage of my love for computer science, my childhood dreams of being in the medical field, and my desire to use my knowledge to help others in an impactful way.
Software Engineer Intern
As nerdy as this sounds, I was really drawn in by Benchling during my first technical interview. During my interview, I was asked to solve a problem that they had actually encountered in the past. It was so much fun to solve a non-traditional technical problem that really showed me what it would be like to work at Benchling. I ended up having such a good time with my interviewer that I became really invested in solving the problem even after my interview was over.
