Bolt Threads: Leveraging data to engineer revolutionary, nature-inspired materials

Bolt Threads is harnessing proteins found in nature to create materials with both practical and revolutionary uses. Bolt’s material Microsilk is a high performance textile, spun from the same proteins as a spider's web, and created using biology, fermentation, & traditional textile production. Bolt is also producing Mylo, a revolutionary material that looks, feels, and behaves like hand-crafted leather but is made from mycelium, the root structure of mushrooms.
