Benchling expands its Asia footprint with Kyowa Kirin AI rollout in Japan

We’re bringing Benchling AI to Asia for the first time, starting with Kyowa Kirin, a global specialty pharmaceutical company headquartered in Japan.

Kyowa Kirin is implementing Benchling AI and Benchling Biologics across its Tokyo Research Park and Fuji Research Park sites, with Cognizant leading the implementation through its joint go-to-market partnership with Benchling in the region.

Scientists at Kyowa Kirin focus on rare diseases, bone and mineral disorders, intractable hematologic diseases and hematoncology. These scientists now use Benchling Biologics for antibody registry and AI-powered antibody design, and Benchling AI solutions to support their R&D, moving between experimental design, data collection, analysis, reporting, and molecular design in one flexible system. Because Benchling AI connects to Kyowa Kirin’s structured experimental data already in Benchling, the AI can surface relationships across past experiments, generate reports, and help researchers move from target identification to candidate selection faster. 

More global R&D organizations are adopting Benchling AI, as teams look to put AI directly into the system where scientific work happens.
