The holidays are just around the corner, and you know what that means: it’s time for #12DaysOfBenchling. That’s right — our beloved jellyfish JeffyP is back, and this year, we’re going bigger. 

If you’ve ever wondered about Jeffy P and where his name comes from, here’s a fun bit of Benchling history. Jeffy P or G-F-P comes from the green fluorescent protein found in jellyfish. Today, GFP is used in labs around the world to track the expression of genes and other molecules within cells. And now you know! 

Over the next 12 days, JeffyP will be rolling out a fresh, fun piece of content every single day. And yes — there will be swag.
